If You Don't Like ' FAKE ' People, then STOP BEING ONE.

We live in a world today that not only goes through mountains of physical pain, but one that continues the battle of the pain of a few simple words. Today, a person crossed my path who swore up and down that someone betrayed them, in a sense, to which they are having to face consequences.. I don't feel bad for them. At all.
I truly believe that there a lot of problems that we face in today's society that we bring upon ourselves. Whether we think we do or not. There are those who are older and wiser, and of course with age comes wisdom.. I don't care if you're out there judging me because I'm young, because I had child out of wedlock, or I have 2 children before age 25.. Even if you are though, where did it come from that you or I have a say in how someone chooses to live their life?
Girls talk, guys talk, people say things they mean, things they don't. However, words can hurt. Yet my point is to say that some of us learn to GROW UP, while others choose to pick a part those around us just to feel better about ourselves.

Can someone please explain that to me? Because I don't understand it.
I do what I can to avoid gossip, to stay away from those who create this environment where you feel like you need to walk on eggshells, or where you're afraid to be who you are just because someone may say something bad about you.
Ask people I surround myself around, ask people I work with, ask my family, well most of my family ( we all have our issues but still), I am a genuinely happy and positive person.
It's not easy removing yourself from those who bring you down, but trust me the second that you get that "crap" out of your life, you'll be genuinely happy, and that I can promise.

"Not everyone is meant to be on the red carpet beside you."
I hate to say it, but some people just aren't meant to make it to the red carpet, because they haven't chosen to grow up.
Do yourself a favor. Look in the mirror and all that bad stuff that you're picking apart in other people, it's what you're not recognizing in yourself.

Don't get me wrong, I am guilty of doing the above. But I have grown up, and I have learned that there are things better left unsaid. I have also chosen the path of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it."

I just hope others are ready to do the same.

Too many people are being hurt, because others aren't being real.
So if you don't like "fake people" stop being one.
You'll be surprised how many great people you will meet, that are real.

A child loves forever

I shared this picture on Facebook the other day. Mainly because in my case it couldn't be more true, given our son is only three. Lol.
Anyway, I want to talk about being a mom and how the sacrifices are worth the unending love of a child.
I don't sleep much, actually I should be sleeping now because the one month old is snoring next to me on the couch while the toddler is sleeping lightly at the other end of the couch. But I feel that what I will write is important.
I'm young, 23, with two boys that mean the world to me. While most of the people my age are graduating college, getting engaged, or just now experiencing the excitement of becoming parents,.. I'm over here raising a couple of boys and just trying to enjoy what I've got.
With that said, I want the parents, and parents to be, to know that when the time comes and you have to leave "the fun stuff" (whether it be drinking, partying, etc) behind to take care of your kids, you will realize it's worth it. A child is going to love his/her parents for the rest of their lives, even if that parent may not deserve it. Unconditionally.  (Hopefully that's not you..if you know what I mean.)
I want parents to know that having a kid or two is going to change your life forever in the best possible way. There will be sleepless nights, nights where you're at the ER for hours only to leave ten minutes after being seen.. But there is also the moments when you see your child smile or laugh for the first time, the first word (usually mama or dada), there's going to be that Christmas when they tell you what they want Santa to bring and the hope you see in their eyes when you put them on santas lap...
Call me cliche or cheesy but a girls night would be great where I could laugh it up with a few good friends an a couple of drinks, but nothing compares to my sons bear hugs, and the other son's sweet smile. Along with the love from my husband & my boys, I just can't imagine anything that could make me happier.
And if you're a parent you know what I mean, and if you're about to become parents, unconditional love is what you get to look forward to. And you'll be the child's hero forever.
So if you're not ready to sacrifice the hangovers from your late nights, the club scene, the 5 beers nightly, or eight hours of sleep--maybe mom life or dad life isn't for you. But if you are, you've got tons of firsts to look forward to, playing Santa, Easter bunny, and tooth fairy.. (Seriously shop early for everything!) you'll gain a person that will love you forever.

I know that even though you may feel like you're sacrificing something, you will gain SO MUCH MORE.

Granted

I've been getting reading a lot of books lately.. And each book has taught me a different lesson, but in each book one lesson remains the same and I want to share that to you.

Time is something we should never take for granted. Whether we are young, immature, old, married or single, healthy or sick. Time is something we use to measure moments of happiness or sadness.. We use time to look forward, and also to look at our pasts.

Where am I going with this? Don't take time for granted. Whether it's time you've got left during class-there are kids around the world who would probably give you the clothes on their back for an opportunity to learn. Don't worry what time you get off work, be thankful you're employed.

Time heals all wounds? It does if you give it the chance.. Don't worry about who broke your heart because it doesn't matter. In time, the person you're meant to be with will come to you, when you're ready for them.

During this time Dustin (husband) has been training for the military, I've learned to appreciate the 10 or so minute phone calls. The texts and the letters or cards. I've learned that not only does distance make the heart grow fonder, but that all obstacles we have gone through only take time and every second is worth it.

Don't take your time here on Earth for granted. There's a purpose for you whether you know it or not. You may not realize it but you may be touching someone's life just by saying hi or complimenting them. Realize that everything happens for a reason, and you just might be a reason in someone else's path in life and just dont know it..

A couple books I read were about running away from something you're afraid of.. I don't believe in fleeing from fear. I believe, even though easier said than done, that you should fight it. Whatever fear you're afraid of, show it who's boss...

The one book that I could probably read over and over: The Five People You Meet in Heaven.

If you need time or space to "navigate" as Jason Mraz says, take that book with you.

Remember that time is something that some of us don't have, some of us wish it would hurry up, slow down, or even all around stop. Stop wishing. Let time take it's time.

You might regret it later, or miss something important. Don't take it for granted..

I keep on fallin' in <3

... I have been in a weird funk the last few weeks and I am glad to say I've gotten myself out of it. Not sure where my mind was but I am glad to be back.. So heres my first blog of 2013~

My husband was home for Christmas and every day I was with him I just fell in love all over again.. Whether it was coming home to a clean room, or laundry being done.. Or walking out to my car after a long day of work to find a rose on my car... I just remembered that I chose to be with this man for the rest of my life and I know I will never regret it. Love isn't something that's always easy to find, or to keep lasting long.. Sometimes we have to climb a mountain just to find the water to nourish the love we have created. Some days are easier than others and some harder. Yet when you have that person in your life, you never stop fighting for them. You don't let them go. Nor do you stray from being there for them... The truest love lasts forever because it does not have an ending.

There are a couple of couples I know who cherish the kind of love & faith toward each other as I have with my husband - and I admire it. Shout outs to
Daniel & Malia ~ couldn't be more "Notebook" worthy..
Rachael & Nick ~ the worlds perfect high school sweethearts and still smile like they're freshmen (: ...
Jeff & Ashley ~ true love that came just at the right time for both of you (: ...

I just want people to remember that sometimes it takes a few tries before that one you never stop falling in love with comes along... Let love come to you when it's time...
I am so glad to have someone so great to love and to cherish as mine <3

A Reason, Season or a Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

That doesn't mean that you can love them an that they'll stick around for a lifetime... I believe we all spit and throw the word "love" all around as if it has no meaning or feeling. We say "I love you" to try and get them to stay, to get them to fess up, or we actually truly mean it. And stand behind it. You say you love him/her then you should stand behind that, whether it was for a reason a season or a lifetime.
Sometimes people show up in your life for a reason. Maybe they've become a part of your life to teach you something. Like how to open up to how you feel or talk about what you're going through when you're just someone who bottles things up. Maybe the reason they're in your life right now is to change your outlook or your point of view on the world itself. Who knows? Either way, the reason that they were a part of your life for however long, was for you.
Then there's the season.. The time in your life where there's someone who's suddenly there for you when you didn't realize you needed them. But as soon as they're not apart of your life, you realize how much you depended on them. Even if it was just waking up to their voice or text message..the season is over. But during that season you learn love, happiness, trust and faith, joy, pain and hurt.. However you choose to look at it. Just don't dwell on it. Open your eyes and look back on the good times.
Last but not quite the least is the people who are there for a lifetime. Family. Family is there for you whether you want them to be or not. They'll stand by you even if they have to tell you that you were wrong. Family never ends and you need to hold on to your family as if your life depended on it because in the end they'll always be there for a lifetime. But then there's also the family you choose. Those few friends who've stood by you, cries with you, gets mad at you but doesn't ignore you, friends who are there for LIFE. they're there for a lifetime because you've given them a good enough reason to stay.
-Hope you remember that some people come and go, but the ones that mean the most stay for life.

Shout out to my girl @BECS; stop writing blogs about me Ill get an ego (; jk. I love you girl. My life was upside down this time last year and you stood by me every gosh darn step. Out of Nowhere

People come in and out of your life. But there are certain people who may have been a part of your life once before that God has brought back for different reasons.
My best friend is away at college, and I try to talk to her almost every day. But there are days when I don't get that chance. Or where I am too busy to just send that simple text message. True friends are there for you to comfort you out of nowhere. To stick up for to when the one you love isn't around to do it. God brings people out of nowhere whether you believe it or not right when you need them.
It doesn't matter how small you are in a friend circle, it doesn't matter how big you are either. Every day there is someone out there who is weak and needs that somebody.
Out of nowhere, there will come a time when someone sticks up for you. When the time comes are you going to stick up for them?

Everything happens for a reason. An for one of my favorite quotes,

"People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime."

Who are they for you?

Take a moment to write a tribute to them. Or maybe you should just thank them. As so it is, it's the month to give thanks...<3

I Tried Writing a Book Once,

I tried writing a book once. I have quite a few pages written actually. Shockingly, I still have it saved on my computer. Not sure why I let it go, but I remember it was the whole reason my mom convinced me to go to Trade School. Which I, to this day, am still not pursuing that career. *Massage Therapy* .

I still remember our conversation.. I was typing up my book and went off to go do something, and so my mom hopped on the computer to exchange some emails.. Little did I know, she was actually reading the book I had started. If I discovered blogs before I started writing that book, my blog posts would be each page of that book.
Anyways, she read it, and was truly impressed. She was like "Kelsey, I wish I could afford to send you to a university to pursue your dream of writing, but I can't. We could try community college or something. I just don't want you to be a food manager the rest of your life."
The next day after she got home from work I was being a good daughter and massaged her shoulders. Then that annoying Everest College commercial came on and two months later I was at Trade School.

Well that's not really the point of this post. The point is that I absolutely love writing. I love to write about the meaning of different things in life, the persepective of different words. So I am thinking of sharing a page with my readers (whoever you may be) but this time I am asking for comments and advice. I want to know what you think. Here goes;

Courage (n.): the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to
face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear.

Have you ever tried facing a problem without being afraid? Have you ever tried to have the courage to tell that one person how much you love them, or how much you need them in your life? I’d like to say that I’ve had the courage to do that more than once. Sure, I have, but I wouldn’t deserve the title of having courage because I was always, and still am, afraid to say those things aloud.
That doesn’t mean you should, though, because every person has an inner strength that involves the influence of courage. Everyone has a soul, or spirit, and they can use it when they choose to, or they can ignore it because they’re afraid of the outcome. They, or you, shouldn’t be afraid of that, you should just be prepared. In the definition to courage it talks about how your mind or spirit enables you to face difficulty, danger and even pain.
Here are a few examples of people that have more courage than most: someone who joins any force of the military, firefighters, police officers, politicians, pastors, assassins (even if they’re evil), racecar drivers, even actors. You’re probably asking yourself why I would put assassins and actors under those who have courage. I can tell you why. Assassins have courage because they put themselves in danger on purpose no matter what the cost, and they mostly do it for those who can’t do it themselves. It’s a terrible thing really, and no, we shouldn’t look up to someone who murders for a living. But hey, at least they live with no fear. And sure, they probably faced many issues in life that have changed their perspective and gives them the mindset to kill, but they still have the courage to do it.
Actors. An actor is someone who entertains an audience by becoming someone else. Through movies, musicals, plays, anything really. How can someone that so often has to become someone else have courage? I’ll tell you. They have to face the difficulty of not really knowing their true self because they work so hard to be that person on screen. They have the courage to put so much effort into being another person because it’s what they do. By becoming that person on screen, they end up losing oneself. I’d call that courage.
If I were to choose my own synonym for courage, I would choose daring. It’s like you’re enabling yourself to face your fears because you’re brave enough to do so. Last time I checked, that was more than anyone could handle. I believe that a courageous person has the strength to accept themselves as they are. They also have the talent to show others what they’re made of, but it’s not to show off. It’s to prove to everyone and anyone that they can be strong and courageous if they put the quality of their mind to it.
I can admit that there were times when I thought I was a very courageous and fearless person, but I can’t say that I always have been, or that I always be. But there is someone that keeps me selfless, fearless, strong and hopeful. His name is Jesus, and if you don’t believe that, then I am sorry. If you’ve never heard of Him, I’d like to say to you that He’s the most courageous person that you’ll ever hear about. If you don’t believe in Him, than any courage you’ve ever had wasn’t inspired, or considered courage, it was pride. Pride isn’t a good thing, in case you were wondering.
So when you want to be courageous, just believe, face your fears, and don’t be afraid.
